By car

  •  Motorway Venezia - Milano (A4)
    exit Padova Est if you are arriving from Venice - exit Padova Ovest if you are arriving from Milan
  •   Motorway Bologna - Padova (A13)
    exit Padova Sud

ATTENTION: in Padua city centre there is a ZTL zone, an area in which car traffic is restricted. From 8am to 8pm no car traffic can enter the central streets, unless the car has a special permit allowing it. See more details (Italian only) at web site of Padova Net.

By train

Padova is both on the Venezia-Milano-Torino and on the Venezia-Bologna-Roma lines (many trains are available). In Padova the train station is quite close to the conference venue, a 10-15 minutes walk if you do not have heavy luggage.

From Padua Railway Station you can arrive to Botanical Garden, venue of workshop:

  •   by blue tram (leaving every 10 minutes from the railway station, stop n.12-Santo in six minutes) -> Tram schedule

By air

Padova is about 30 Km far from the Venice Airport; there is a bus service to the bus terminal of Padova, next to the railway station.

VENICE: Marco Polo Airport (Tessera), is the nearest one to Padua. From this airport you can reach Padua in the following ways:

  •   by bus (Busitalia schedule) from Venice Airport to Padua and vice versa. The ride takes approximately one hour (depending on traffic conditions).
    The last stop in Padua is located close to the train station and within walking distance of the blue tram that you should use to reach the venue of the workshop.

  •   by train, first take a regular bus from Venice Airport to Mestre Train Station and then a train from Mestre to Padua (it takes approx. 40 minutes).

VERONA: Valerio Catullo Airport (Villafranca Veronese). A shuttle service connects Verona airport with Verona Train Station.

TREVISO: Treviso Airport. A shuttle service connects Treviso airport with Treviso Train Station.

From all airports you can reach Padua by door-to-door collective minibus: will take you from the Airport to any address in Padua, or vice versa.
